According to the American Pet Products Association (APPA), about 70% of American households now have a pet of some kind.  Additionally, a good number of these households are welcoming pets for the first time or are returning to having pets after an absence.  At PURELUXE, we see this as great news not only from a business standpoint, but also since pets of all kinds make great companions and improve the lives of their parents.  Pets also get great benefits from being in a loving household.

That being said, being a new pet parents does present its share of challenges since you haven’t had as much experience as more seasoned parents.  APPA data shows that the average dog parent in 2018 had 16 years of pet parenting experience compared with only 14 years in 2020.  This is true of other kinds of pets as well.  This means you have to be especially careful about how your pet is socialized, cared for and fed.  At PURELUXE Pet Food, we obviously focus on the nutrition aspect for our dog and cat customers.  Here’s what you need to ask you pet’s food company:

1.) Are you transparent about ingredients and safety testing?

2.) Is fresh meat the first ingredient?

3.) Do you include prebiotics and probiotics to combat the harsh city environments that our pets live in which can cause stress and dry skin (among other issues)?

4.) Can your food help with my pet’s medical conditions?

At PURELUXE, we can answer in the affirmative to all of this.  Many of our dogs and cats see improved health outcomes after starting our formulas.  It truly is a holistic experience.  See all of our dog and cat formulas at pureluxepetfood.com, and welcome to the new pet parents!
