In the past couple of weeks, we heard the news that Pebbles, the world’s oldest dog, had died.

In the past couple of weeks, we heard the news that Pebbles, the world’s oldest dog, had died.  The Toy Fox Terrier was just five months short of her 23rd birthday.

Her family stated: “It has been said, she has given us more than we have ever given her, and no statement could be truer,” her family admits. “Pebbles was not just another dog; she had her own way about her, and her own personality. She was a once in a lifetime companion, and it was our honor to have had the blessing to have had her as a pet, and family member. There was never anyone who met Pebbles who didn’t love her. She will be deeply missed.”

Although we don’t quite know how Pebbles reached this old age, we can take a look at the facts as to how pets can live longer.  One of the most important considerations is diet.  At PURELUXE Pet Food, we hear from our pet parents all of the time about improved health outcomes in their pets from a silkier skin and coat to better digestion and fewer “bathroom” issues.  All of our formulas at made from fresh meat first and contain a healthy does of pre and probiotics along with ingredients like cranberries that help with urinary tract issues.

While it’s not possible to control every variable in the length of our dog or cat’s life, there are steps that we can take.  Visit pureluxepetfood.com to learn more about all of our dog and cat formulas.
